Thermoset Barrels

Thermoset barrels are designed for cooling. They usually require aluminum
or stainless steel, water jackets. Because the majority of the wear
takes place on the very end of the bore with little or no wear in
the center or towards the feed port, Concor puts a premium, wear-resistant
liner in the downstream area. The remainder of the bore can be lined
with less-costly tool steel. |
