SCI Enclosures, a well-known custom molder, contacted Concor after
experiencing significant down time and high scrap rates when switching
from black acrylic to clear Polycarbonate. Using materials best suited for the application, Concor redesigned their screw and tip assembly to enable switching from black to clear in three shots, without purging. The new unit also eliminated issues such as material "sticking" to the screw and product contamination Down time and scrap rate is now minimal and the new screw assembly lasts significantly longer. |
